Grace Weber is a Rebel in Her Latest Single ‘Thru The Fire’ ft. Chance The Rapper

Chance the Rapper appears on Grace Weber’s latest single, “Thru The Fire,” which will be appearing in her upcoming album. The duo previously collaborated back in 2016, when Weber wrote “All We Got,” the opening song to Chance’s Grammy winning mixtape, “Coloring Book.” The latest gem by both artists, provides listeners with encouraging words to remain resilient whenever they are facing hardships.

Weber discussed the making of, “Thru The Fire,” in her latest interview with Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Milwaukee native, mentioned how grateful she was to have Chance on the track, and how much of an honor it is to be working with him. The song was initially a swap for “All We Got.”

The singer/songwriter revealed that the song brought back nostalgic memories of her upbringing, when she sang in a gospel choir. “Weber wrote the song in Wisconsin with Garren Sean Langford, a producer and songwriter on “Coloring Book,” whose arrangement reminded Weber of the gospel choir she grew up singing with in Milwaukee.”

When asked about the meaning of the song during the interview, Weber replied, “This is the comeback song, about rising through the ashes. That dynamic and the energy, the positivity and the sonic elements, were all the things that led us to feel like it was the song for Chance to hop on.”
